Free Entry Route
A free postal entry is available for every competition we run, in accordance with UK competition law.
1. Your Legal Right to Free Entry
In accordance with UK competition law and guidance from the Gambling Commission, a free entry route is available for every prize competition run by Living The Dream Competitions. Entry via the free route gives you exactly the same chance of winning as a paid online entry and is entered into the same draw using the same random selection method. We promote the free entry route alongside any paid entry routes so that anyone who wishes to participate can see how to enter for free.
2. How to Enter by Post
To enter a competition via the free postal route, please follow these steps: 1. Write legibly on a plain piece of paper or postcard: - Your full name. - Your home address. - Your date of birth. - Your email address and telephone number. - The exact name of the competition you wish to enter. - The advertised draw date. - Your answer to the skill-based question for that competition. 2. Place your entry in an envelope with the correct postage. 3. Send your entry to our free-entry address - [FREE ENTRY ADDRESS]. Please ensure that the address is written clearly. Only one competition may be entered per envelope. Entries that are incomplete, illegible or not properly addressed may be rejected.
3. Deadlines and Limits
Postal entries must be received by us no later than 5 days before the advertised closing date for the relevant competition. We recommend allowing sufficient time for delivery and using first-class post where possible. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. Unless otherwise stated on the competition page:
- One free postal entry is permitted per competition per person per envelope.
- Multiple entries in a single envelope will be disqualified.
- Bulk entries, entries submitted via agents or third parties, and mechanically or automatically generated entries are not permitted.
We accept no responsibility for postal entries that are lost, delayed, damaged, mis-delivered or otherwise not received by us for any reason.
4. Skill-Based Question
To be valid, each free postal entry must include a correct answer to the skill-based question for that competition. The question is displayed on the competition page and/or on this website. Entries that do not include an answer, or that include an incorrect answer, will not receive a ticket number and will not be entered into the draw. Questions are designed so that they require a genuine exercise of skill, judgment or knowledge, and are not of a trivial or purely obvious nature.
5. Ticket Allocation and Winner Notification
Valid free postal entries that meet all of the requirements above are treated in exactly the same way as paid entries. If we receive your free entry in time and with a correct answer, we will allocate a unique ticket number and enter you into the draw. If you win via a free postal entry, we will contact you by email and/or telephone within 24 hours of the draw using the details provided in your postal entry. It is your responsibility to ensure that your contact details are accurate and legible. If we cannot contact you, or if you do not respond within the timeframe set out in our competition Terms and Conditions, we may select an alternative winner.
